Sad news from Bungoma County indicate that a terrible truck accident happened today Monday, 24 August killing scores at the Webuye-Kaburengu interchange in Bungoma County.
The fatal accident is believed to have been caused by a truck which lost control before hitting two matatus bodabodas moments before it ran over women hawking groceries by the roadside.
Witnesses say that more than 10 people have been killed and scores injured.
Just two weeks ago, a truck driver was burnt beyond recognition while two others sustained injuries after a fuel tanker lost control before catching fire along the Bungoma-Malaba highway in Teso North Sub County.
The Malaba Webuye highway has been a notorious black spot where fatal accidents take away precious lives.
Last year in June, eight people died on the spot after a matatu they were travelling in collided with a bus at Matulo Corner along the Webuye-Bungoma highway.
