Kenya has in the last 24 hours recorded 22 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number to 39, 495.
This is out of 595 samples tested in the same period, bringing the cumulative tests to 564,78.
Speaking during the daily Covid-19 briefing, Health CAS Rashid Aman said that all of the cases are Kenyans apart from one foreigner.
15 are male and 7 are female with the youngest being an 18-year-old and the oldest aged 65 years.
He also announced 376 recoveries; 16 from various health facilities and 360 from the home-based care programme.
This brings the total number of recoveries to 27,035.
Unfortunately, 4 other patients have succumbed to the virus, bringing the total number of deaths to 735.
The newly detected infections were distributed across the counties as follows: Nairobi 18, Meru 2, Nakuru and Kiambu 1.
Dr Aman also revealed that 1,029 healthcare workers have so far tested positive for Covid-19.
