DCI Detectives have arrested a total of 44 school children together with their host in Nairobi’s Mountain View Estate.
According to the tweet shared by the DCI on Sunday morning, the officers raided the house on Saturday evening and in the process arrested the minors and their host, at the same time seizing various brands of alcohol and bhang from the house.
Among the arrested 44 children, 26 are boys while 18 girls and are aged between 14 and 17 years. According to the DCI, all are in primary and high schools.

Their host was identified as Millicent Kithinji, aged 41 and has already been presented to DCI detectives based at Dagoretti for further questioning.
According to the detectives, they also want to establish why the woman had hosted the children and how the children got to her house.
The DCI revealed that among the seized alcoholic drinks included brands of Whisky and vodka as well as bhang (cannabis Sativa). Preliminary investigations revealed the children were from Nairobi, Kiambu Machakos counties.

Investigations are ongoing to establish how the children sneaked out of their homes and traveled that far without raising suspicion from their parents. The officers promised that stern legal action will be taken against adults who abuse children.
