Kenyans today woke up to yet sad news of the passing on of another great Doctor to covid-19 complications.
Dr. Hudson Alumera – a periodontal surgeon has been mourned as a teacher, mentor, friend & icon to the medical & dental fraternity.

Announcing his death via twitter, Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union appealed to the government to prioritize the welfare occupational safety & health of frontline health care workers.
While mourning him, KMPDU wrote on twitter; “We wake to the sad news of the demise of yet another colleague to complications of COVID-19. Dr Hudson Alumera – a periodontal surgeon was a teacher, mentor, friend & icon to the medical & dental fraternity. Fare thee well daktari.”
Dr. Alumera becomes the fifth Doctor to die of covid in the past one week.
Others include; Dr. Emara Ashraf, Dr. Robert Ayisi, Dr. Hudson Inyangala and Dr. Vladimir Schuckin.

Hopeshi254 on twitter mourned Dr. Alumera saying: “I have fond memories of Dr Hudson Alumera, my favorite is when he gifted me with assorted chocolate after answering a question in the Periodontology Clinic. God, I will forever miss him. He really made school a little more bearable. I still can’t believe this, rest easy King.”
