Barcelona’s three-game winning streak in all competitions is over thanks to a 2-1 loss to Cadiz on Saturday night in Spain.
Barcelona had all of the possession but very little creativity to break down an extremely resilient defense from Cadiz, who took their chances and walked away with three giant points to stay in the Top 6.

As for Barcelona , their inconsistencies in the league continue.
The home team got a goal early on, and it was a weird one as Óscar Mingueza headed the ball against his own net, and despite a great save by Marc-André ter Stegen the damage was done and Álvaro Giménez scored the easiest goal of his life to give Cádiz the lead.
With the advantage in the score the hosts parked the bus, and Barça simply could not find a way to break it down.

The attacking players were trying to move around the final third and link up to find spaces, but there just was none and when something promising happened, a bad pass would kill the attack.
At halftime, Cádiz had the lead and Barça needed to improve the final ball to find a way to win this one.
Then Clément Lenglet made a bad mistake and was unable to control a simple throw-in by Jordi Alba, which gave substitute Álvaro Negredo a chance to score with his first touch after taking the ball away from Marc-André ter Stegen and scoring on an open net.
With just 30 minutes to go Barça had to start all over again in their attempts to win, and the creativity issues continued. Goalkeeper Ledesma made a few saves, but they were mostly comfortable, and best chance for Barça was a shot by Sergiño Dest that went just wide when the American was offside.

Barça kept trying to go forward but there was just no way to score, and the final whistle came to give Cádiz a huge win, their first of the season at home.
