On Wednesday, 151 people tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 38,529.
2,927 samples had been tested over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of samples tested so far to 547,946.
Speaking during the daily COVID-19 briefing, Health CAS Rashid Aman announced the death of 4 patients pushing the death toll to 711.
168 more patients have in the last 24 hours recovered from the virus; 105 from home-based care programme and 63 from various hospitals. This brings the tally to 24,908.
97 of the new cases are male and 54 are female. The youngest case is a 1-year-old child while the oldest is aged 82.
The County distribution is as follows: Nairobi (32), Nakuru (24), Kisumu (22), Garissa (14), Mombasa (10), Meru (8), Kajiado (8), Kisii (6), Bomet (5), Kiambu (5), Siaya (3), Uasin Gishu (2), Kilifi (2), Marsabit (2), West Pokot (2), Murang’a (2).
Kakamega, Nyamira, Bungoma and Kitui counties all recorded one case each.
