Health Cabinet Secretary (CS) Mutahi Kagwe on Wednesday announced 130 new positive cases of COVID-19 from a 3,874 sample size, bringing cumulative tests to 523,998.
Kenya’s total number of cases is at 37,348.
Speaking from Kenyatta National Referral Hospital, the CS said that all the cases were Kenyans except 7 who are foreigners.
89 are males while 41 are females. The youngest case is a 3 year-old child while the oldest is aged 90.
Further, the CS said, 106 patients have been discharged in the last 24 hours; 82 from various health facilities and 25 from home-based care program.
The total number of recoveries stands at 24,253.
The death toll shot to 664 after 5 COVID-19 patients succumbed.
