DCI has summoned two MPs who are said to have instigated chaos in Kenol, Murang’a County on Sunday.
On Monday morning, DCI ordered Kandara MP Alice Wahome and her Kiharu counterpart Ndindi Nyoro to appear at the Regional Criminal Investigations offices in Nyeri to assist Police with investigations.

This was following a directive from Inspector General Hillary Mutyambai on Sunday evening via social media.
IG ordered for immediate tracking and arrest of the two legislators for allegedly mobilizing goons and caused mayhem at Kenol, which led to the death of two people.
“The @IG_NPS has directed that Members of Parliament (Mps) Hon.Ndindi Nyoro and Hon.Alice Wahome to be tracked and arrested immediately for mobilizing goons who caused mayhem at Kenol this morning,” read a twitter post from National Police Service.
Equally the motor vehicles which were hired to ferry goons be tracked and detained to assist in Investigation.

He further ordered that the two lorries which were said to have been hired to ferry goons be tracked and detained as well to assist in investigations.
Addressing the people after the church service, Deputy President William Ruto who was the chief guest at the fundraiser, accused his subordinates of being behind the mayhem.
“Watu waliotuma watu kutuma teagas ni watu wanaofanya kazi chini yetu. (Those who sent these goons to unleash teargas on us were sent by leaders working under us.),” he said.
