Deputy President William Ruto and ODM party leader Raila Odinga are among distinguished guests who are attending the burial service Matungu MP Justus Murunga.
The burial service is going on at Makunda Primary School grounds in Matungu, Kakamega County.

Other VIP guests in attendance include Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka, ANC Leader Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula, Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, his Bungoma counterpart Wycliffe Wangamati, Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala and a host of MPs from the region.
The burial of the late late MP had initially be set for November 28, but the plans were put on hold after a woman claiming to have had children with the legislator obtained a court order stopping the burial.
Agnes Wangui Wambiri, who claims that Mr Murunga is the father of her two children, obtained the injunction in an effort to have DNA tests conducted to determine her children’s paternity.
