English Premier League is Back With an Early Kick-off for Arsenal

R2-D2Good news to football lovers as the English Premier is back with Arsenal getting the 2020/2021 season underway with a 2.30 pm early kick off.

The gunners visit the newly promoted side Fulham at Craven Cottage as they seek to kick-start their new season in high gear.

Even with no fans being allowed in the stadiums yet because of coronavirus restrictions, football fans can still expect lots of excitement.

There will be plenty of action at 7.30 pm with Liverpool entertaining Maselo Bielsa’s side Leeds United at Anfield.

Liverpool side is seeking to defend their title against the newly promoted Championship winners.

Other matches slated for today include a clash between Crystal Palace and Southampton at 5 pm and a late kick off between West Ham and Newcastle.

With Arsenal fresh from beating Liverpool in the Community Shield clash, the Mikel Arteta’s side are emboldened to continue their rich vein of form with a trip to West London.

Arsenal will be without key first team players including David Luiz (neck); Sokratis Papastathopoulos (calf); Calum Chambers (knee); Pablo Mari (ankle) and Shkodran Mustafi (hamstring).

New signings Willian, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes could make their debuts today.

Mikel Arteta’s team is expected to beat the Scott Parker’s side with stats heavily favouring the Gunners.

The Gunners have lost just one of their last 13 Premier League matches against Fulham (W8 D4), going down 1-2 at Craven Cottage in January 2012.

Chelsea will be in action on Monday night away at Brighton as Frank Lampard banks on his 200 million pound new players to start his season in high gear.

Manchester United and Manchester City begin their campaigns on the second week of the season on Saturday, September 19.
