The highly anticipated FKF National Elections are taking place at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi.
The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Electoral Board ahead of Saturday’s national elections on Thursday afternoon briefed voters on the voting process and what will be expected of them to avoid any malpractices.

The briefing came even when there was pending petition with the Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT) asking it to put off the elections until they had satisfied the provisions of the Sports Act 2013 (Amended 2016) and the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
But with the petition dismissed, the elections is currently happening Safari Park Hotel.
Those vying for the FKF Presidential position include: Nicholas Mwendwa Kithuku, Bonface Odhiambo Osano, Daniel Mule Anthony, Herbert George Mark Mwachiro and Lordvick Omondi Aduda.
On Friday, the Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT) in their ruling said: “The issues raised by the Sports Registrar could be addressed even after the electoral process.”
The tribunal noted that the petition by a group of parties including former FKF President Sam Nyamweya “lacked merit.”
“The proposition that this would have been futile is misconceived as already demonstrated by our reference to the ‘defection’ of the 2nd Petitioner. We think that this conclusion is sufficient to dispose of the Petition and it is not necessary to delve into all the other arguments that were advanced by the parties. For this reason, the Petition is for dismissing and it is duly dismissed,” Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT) chairman John Ohaga said.
