Google Services Including Gmail and Drive Suffer Disruption

Giant tech company Google is currently experiencing disruptions in their mainstream services including Gmail, Meet, Drive and Google Chat.

Google users are at the moment having problems trying to access their accounts on various devices.

The disruptions appear to have  started shortly after 11 am, affecting users in America, Europe, Asia and parts of Africa.

In a statement posted on Google dashboard, the company said “Our team is continuing to investigate this issue. We will provide an update by 09:21am with more information about this problem. Thank you for your patience.”

Confirming the issues currently affecting Google services, online tech magazine The Verge said that they had verified that uploading files on Gmail and G Suite accounts was problematic.

In some instances, users are unable to write new emails or even reply to their mails as multiple failings are reported.

Other services that are also experiencing issues were recording videos on Meet, uploading files to Google Drive and using Google chat to post messages.

Google says that it has more than 2 billion users signed up for G Suite products.

The giant tech company customer service representatives are currently responding to issues on Twitter.
