Jubilee Top Politicians Attend Ida Odinga’s Birthday

Mama Ida Odinga just turned 70 years old and to celebrate the milestone, she held a high profile party with the invites being the crème de la crème of the political society.

In a colorful ceremony at her Karen home, maskless visitors made merry as they wished Raila’s wife a happy birthday.

The birthday party is now the talk of town after top Jubilee politicians thronged to Karen to join their new friend in celebrating his wife’s birthday.

Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe led a strong line up of Jubilee technocrats from Mt. Kenya aligned to president Uhuru Kenyatta.

Among those in the guest list were Kirinyaga County Governor Anne Waiguru, former Gatanga Mp Peter Kenneth, Raila’s brother Oburu Odinga and Homabay women representative Gladys Wanga.

Photos shared online show the guests mingling as they took photos and enjoyed the moments without observing social distancing or wearing facemasks.

Guests described Mama Ida as ‘selfless, wise and graceful’ as they poured their hearts out in congratulating her for turning 70.

Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru while wishing Mama Ida a happy birthday, wrote on Twitter: “Joined Rt. Hon @RailaOdinga, family & other leaders in celebrating Mama Ida’s Birthday. @IdaOdinga you are Strong, Wise, graceful & selfless. Not many know or understand the critical role you play in this nation. God grant you many fruitful years ahead, full of laughter & love.”

Some of the guests included Jubilee Party vice chairman David Murathe, former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, Wajir Mp Fatuma Hedi, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru and Homa Bay Woman Rep Gladys Wanga.

A photo of Raila Odinga sandwiched between two female guests has caused a stir online as Raila is seen to be placing a hand on NGEC commissioner Priscilla Nyokabi’s knee.
