Kenya Records 3 Covid-19 Deaths, 92 Infections

On Wednesday, Kenya recorded 92 Covid-19 infections from 2,985 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

Addressing reporters during the daily Covid-19 briefing, Health CAS Dr Mercy Mwangangi said the country’s total currently stands at 36,393.

All the 92 cases are Kenyans apart from four who are foreigners. 64 are male while 28 are females, all aged between two and 75 years.

The CAS also announced 165 recoveries; 60 were on the home-based care program while 105 were discharged from various health facilities.

This brings the total number of recoveries to 23,529.

Unfortunately, 3 more patients died, pushing the death toll to 637.

In the counties, the cases were distributed as follows: Nairobi (25), Mombasa (20), Nakuru (8), Garissa (7), Uasin Gishu (6), Kisumu (5), Turkana (4), Kiambu (4), Kakamega (3), Machakos (2), Kajiado (2), Busia (2), Nyeri (1), Kilifi (1), Taita Taveta (1), and Tana River (1).
