Kenya on Tuesday recorded 210 more Covid-19 positive cases, as the country’s total caseload rises to 38,378.
In a press statement, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said 3,604 samples had been tested over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of samples tested so far to 545,019.
Of the positive cases, all are Kenyans except 10 who are foreigners
127 are male and 83 are female while the youngest case is a six-month-old baby and the oldest is aged 91.
The cabinet secretary also announced 59 recoveries; 49 from the home-based care programme and 10 from various hospitals, bringing the total number of recoveries to 24,740.
Unfortunately, 7 patients succumbed to the disease bringing the total number of deaths to 707.
In the counties, the infections were distributed as follows: Nairobi 55, Kericho 36, Kitui 24, Kiambu 21, Nakuru 19, Mombasa 15, Kisumu 10, Kisii 8, Kilifi 6, Turkana 5, Embu 4, Wajir 2, Machakos 1, Kakamega 1, Kwale 1, Nandi 1 and Kajiado 1.
