Kenya Records Zero COVID-19 Fatalities As Caseload Reaches 33,630

Kenya has not recorded any COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours, Health CAS DR Rashid Aman has confirmed.

The death toll remains at 567.

241 people have however contracted the virus after testing a 4,520 sample size.

This pushes the toll to 33,630.

228 of the new infections are Kenyan nationals while 47 are foreigners aged between 1 and 89 years.

192 of these cases were males and 89 females.

Dr Aman also announced 66 new recoveries. Total number of recoveries stands at 19,434.

The cases were distributed in the counties as follows:

Nairobi (113), Mombasa (14), Kiambu (10), Taita Taveta (10 Kirinyaga (9), Narok (9), Kajiado(8), Uasin Gishu (6) , Laikipia (7), Nakuru (7), Turkana (6), Busia (5), Lamu (5), Trans Nzoia (4), Kilifi and Kericho (4) cases each, Kisumu (3), Nyeri, Machakos, Makueni and Bomet (2) cases each, Kitui, Bungoma, Embu and Nyandarua and Nandi (1) case each.
