Leaders Mourn the Death of Aden Duale’s Mother

Leaders from across the aisle continue to send their messages of condolence to former National Assembly majority leader Aden Duale following the death of his mother.

Mama Hawa Kosar Shurie died on Tuesday evening although details of her death are still scanty.

President Uhuru Kenyatta mourned her as a humble and devoted woman of God through a tweet from the State House twitter handle.

“His Excellency the President has condoled with the family of Garissa Township MP Aden Duale following the passing away of his mother Mama Hawa Kosar Shurie. The President mourned Mama Hawa as a humble, hardworking and devoted woman of God whose wise counsel shall be dearly missed.”

Duale’s close friend and Deputy President while mourning her death, described her as a deeply religious person who worked so hard to raise diligent children.

Ruto said that Mama Shurie will be remembered for charity efforts to uplift the lives of the less fortunate in the society.

“Mama Shurie was a devoutly religious, respected and responsible woman who raised upright, hardworking and diligent children despite prevailing tough conditions.”

“We will remember her as a counselor and peace advocate who uplifted the less fortunate in the society. Ina Lilahi wa Inna Ileyhi Rajiun. May Allah grant her Janatul firdows. May He also give sabr and iimaan to the bereaved family and friends at this difficult time.” wrote the DP on his social media pages.

Other leaders who have mourned with the Garissa Township MP are Raila Odinga and Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi.

Taking to twitter Raila wrote: “My condolences go out to Garissa Township MP @HonAdenDuale, my political son and his wider family on the passing on of their mother Mama Hawa Kosar Shurie. Poleni sana. May the Lord grant them comfort at this difficult moment and may Mama Hawa Rest in Eternal Peace.

“My deep sympathies and prayers to you my brother Aden Duale and your entire family, following the demise of your dear mother, Mama Hawa Kosar Shurie, early this evening,” tweeted Muturi.
