A man was on Saturday apprehended after he allegedly shot dead another in Kilimani.
Robert Bodo Ouko is said to have fatally shot Kevin Omwenga in the chest at the latter’s Galana Suites, Kilimani apartment.
According to a local daily, the two argued over a suspected fake gold deal gone wrong.
The deal was apparently struck back in March.
The suspect who is currently in custody led officers based at Kilimani Police Station to an office where they recovered a mini Ceska firearm with 13 rounds of ammunition.
Also in custody is businessman Chris Obure who has been linked with the shooting.
The weapon that is suspected to have been used in the fatal shooting will undergo ballistic analysis, DCI said via Twitter.
“Detectives based at Kilimani have this morning arrested Robert Bodo and recovered a Mini Ceska firearm with 13 rounds of ammunition suspected to have been used in the fatal shooting of a 28-year-old man at Galana Suites in Kilimani.
“The firearm which has been kept as an exhibit, will be subjected to ballistic analysis as further investigations ensue to unravel the motive of the shooting,” the tweets read.

Omwenga was pronounced dead on arrival at Nairobi Women’s Hospital.
His remains have been moved to the mortuary.
This comes barely a month after a woman, Sheila Njeri, was found dead outside another Kilimani apartment (Santonio flats).
Njeri had on the previous night been drinking with three friends; Shem Ng’eno, Christine Awour and Claire Chepkoech, all suspects in the case.
The deceased had bruises on her back and waist. Her clothes were also torn which indicated that she could have been sexually assaulted.
The three suspects are out on bail. The case will be mentioned on August 28.
