A political storm following Oscar Sudi’s slur on President Uhuru Kenyatta and his mother Mama Ngina has taken another turn after a section of Central Kenya women threatened to strip naked if he fails to apologize for his outbursts.
The women said that they will not allow comments mentioning some parts of their bodies to disparage the head of state.
“We want Sudi to apologize for abusing us women. If he will not do so, we shall match to his home, strip ourselves and breastfeed him” one of the angry women was recorded saying.
This follows a string of demonstrations in towns allied to the president with women coming out in large numbers to condemn the Kapseret lawmaker’s sentiments.
There have been demonstrations in Nyeri, Murang’a, Nakuru and Mombasa where women have taken to the street to condemn Sudi over his remarks on Monday evening.
In Nyeri, Maendeleo ya Wanawake better known as Nyakinyua, says its members will march to DP Ruto’s Karen residence in one week’s time if MPs Johana Ng’eno and Oscar Sudi won’t apologise to Mama Ngina Kenyatta over their recent remarks.
While this was happening, the under fire lawmaker in a press conference on Wednesday said that he will not apologize for his controversial anti-President Uhuru Kenyatta slur.
Sudi told reporters that he had not abused anyone, and that his open speaking of the truth is being misconstrued by those against the leadership of DP William Ruto.
“I was very surprised to see so many women agitated that I referred to women’s breasts, it is even in the bible, which was not an insult, I will apologise once people show me where I went wrong,” he said.

During the press statement, the fierce Mp noted that he does not speak on behalf of Deputy President William Ruto and asked his critics to leave the DP out of the matter.
He further accused ODM and Raila Odinga of applying double standards, and alluded to several forums where ODM Mps Gladys Wanga and Babu Owino abused President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“I was surprised to see Raila Odinga speaking yesterday, why hadn’t he spoken when Gladys Wanga and Babu Owino insulted the president?” Sudi asked.
He further noted: “If there is a party that has insulted the president, it’s the ODM party, they should not be speaking now,”
Yesterday, ODM led by Raila Odinga and Junet Mohamed led calls for the resignation of DP Ruto over Sudi and Ng’eno’s slur on the head of state.
On Monday evening, Ruto led calls for politicians across the divide to tone down their political rhetoric for the sake of peace and harmony in the country.
