Muranga church leaders has vowed to support Deputy President William Ruto amid threats and intimidation from their opponents.
Speaking during a church service at the AIPCA Kenol Church on Sunday, October 3, the leaders of declared their support for DP Ruto’s 2022 ambitions and empowerment programs that he has been carrying out across the country.
The AIPCA church leaders also thanked the DP for showing up urging him to remain unshaken despite the morning chaos witnessed in the area.
“Sisi hatuogopi! Deputy President sisi tuko nyuma yako na kwa hivyo hatujali vitisho. Tumesimama na wewe bega kwa bega,” said one of the church minister as he welcomed DP Ruto.

Earlier on police officers had to lob tear gas outside the church to disperse protesting youths.
Ruto’s arrival at the church event was preceded with chaos as supporters of President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto clashing in Kenol.
The DP who is being hosted by Kandara MP Alice Wahome arrived at the church moments after calm had been restored.
The youths on Sunday morning barricaded the Kenol-Murang’a road paralyzing transportation on the busy road.

Murang’a South DCC Mawira Mungania confirmed the incident saying that one person was killed in the resulting drama and several others sustaining serious injuries.
In a video going round on social media, the youths can be seen throwing stones at each other in a battle to take control of the area.
They also burned tires on the road, rendering it impassable for motorists who were on their daily business.
