Pastor Who Impregnated 2 Daughters Arrested After a Month on The Run

Police in Kirinyaga County have arrested a pastor for impregnating his two daughters.

The pastor, who has been on the run for one month until his arrest, had been accused of impregnating his two daughters, one of whom had already given birth.

The suspect had disappeared in early December 2020 after his relatives reported the matter to the police.

Kirinyaga West Deputy County Commissioner Moses Ivuto said the clergy man is being held at Sagana Police Station as investigations into the matter commenced.

“Police finally nailed him and he will soon be arraigned in court. He has ruined the lives of his school-going children and we shall not spare him.

“We, the government cannot allow anyone to sexually exploit young girls and he will face the full wrath of the law,” Ivuto said.

According to reports, the suspect had raped his daughters and impregnated them on different occasions. The first daughter is said to had delivered a baby while the other is six months pregnant.

The pastor’s heinous act on his daughters came to light after his wife raised an alarm prompting the girls to open up on who had defiled them.

The daughters narrated how their father defiled them after which he threatened them and other relatives against reporting the matter.

“A teacher from their school told me that my daughters were pregnant and the doctors ascertained that they indeed were expectant mothers. May God help me. It broke my heart,” the emotional mother narrated.

The matter attracted the attention of Women MPs across the country who visited the mother to demand for the arrest of the suspect.

Woman Representatives Purity Ngirici (Kirinyaga) and Gladys Shollei (Uasin Gishu) led demonstrations in the area calling on police to expedite the investigation and arrest the pastor.

“This is a grievous offence and he is staring at over 20 years in prison. The father is cruel. He is a danger to women in society. He must have been doing so for years and he may have also preyed on other children,” Shollei stated.
