A Kenyan businessman based in Dar es salaam , Tanzania, Raphael Ongangi, was abducted by gunmen as he was making his way home with his wife from his kids’ parents meeting around 9:30pm on Monday, June 24th.
The unknown gunmen cornered the couple at the intersection of Karume and Msasani road in the posh neighborhood of Oysterbay, right next to Ugandan High Commission.
Three men entered their car with guns, forced his wife, Veronica Kundya, to the back seat and drove them to Safari beach near Msasani fish market.
CCTV cameras shows three cars, two motorbikes and more men arriving along with the couples’ LandRover Discovery Sport. They moved Raphael to another car, and left Veronica in her car and left.
Sources from the police indicates that Veronica was left with instructions to wait for further information, and an hour later, she received a call from Raphael with instructions from abductors to go home and not report anywhere.
Veronica went straight to report to Oysterbay police, and later to the Kenyan High Commission.

He is married to Veronica, a Tanzanian, and they have two daughters. As of this morning, there are no news about his whereabout nor any demands from the abductors.
