“We are now ready to start issuing cards to Kenyans…so that they can start getting them online and stop the long queues in government offices,” the president said.

The Interior CS further noted that the process of integration of public personal data so that every Kenyan gets a single source of identity (Huduma Namba) is complete.

The CS also appealed to the Head of State to help them roll out the process of issuing the cards after the National Assembly appoints the data commissioner.

Uhuru also issued 10 more Huduma Cards to 10 other individuals including Laban Siro, Evans Amenya Bosire, Aloice Mosoti and Sylvester Achuka Mose.

Others were Boniface Moseti Oyaro, Evans Gwaro, Kevin Bwire, Lawrence Omambia, Evans Michael and Henry Nyabuto.
