Raila Odinga Junior Calls ODM to Order as he Slams Party Leaders

In what could be viewed as an unexpected turn of political events, ODM party leader Raila Odinga’s son Raila Junior has hit hard on his father’s party ODM.

While admitting that ODM party which his father leads has lost its way, Raila Junior noted it was high time they find their way back as a party and stop spending lavishly while busy abusing rival political leaders.

In what was seen as an indirect attack to his father Raila Odinga, Suna East MP Junet Mohamed together with Mombasa Governor Ali Joho who recently boarded an expensive private jet to Dubai to visit Odinga, the young son stated that the party should instead direct its efforts to development agendas and service delivery to the nation.

“We as ODM need to find our way back to basics, we’re not just about private jets & slay queens whilst abusing rival politicians, we have a development agenda clearly outlined in our manifesto, let’s focus on service delivery, democratic space, protecting private citizen rights,” tweeted Raila Odinga Junior on Tuesday.

His remarks come just two days after the defiant young politician challenged Junet Mohamed to use his position as minority whip and senior parliamentarian to fight for Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi’s rights in court.

Raila Junior stated that freedom of speech is the cornerstone of Kenya’s democracy, hence Sudi shouldn’t have been arrested for allegedly expressing himself in public.

“Actually @JunetMohamed as minority whip in the house and senior parliamentarian, I believe your position should be that even though you don’t necessarily agree with what @HonOscarSudi said you’ll defend his right to say it. Freedom of speech is the cornerstone of our democracy!” he tweeted.

Over the last one week, Raila Odinga was joined by Mombasa Governor Ali Joho for his coastal region tours. The two used the opportunity to lash out at Ruto, saying the self-proclaimed hustler was taking Kenyan youth for a ride while cunningly providing them with unwarranted ‘development goodies’

Raila Odinga Jnr’s two tweets have caused some uproar online, with a section of users wondering whether the young son was defying his father Raila Odinga and warming up for Deputy President William Ruto’s endorsement.
