DCI sleuths on Sunday arrested a syndicate luring victims through online dating sites.
Four suspects were nabbed in Ruaka where they have torturing their unsuspecting victims before extorting money from them.
The four were; Bernard Mbunga, Fredrick Mutiso Mutua, Catherine Mumbi Kivuva and Kelvin Nzioki.
“Pursuit of the notorious syndicate that has been luring unsuspecting victims through online dating sites to their dens before torturing & extorting money from them has this evening seen the arrest of Four more suspects at Ruaka shopping center,” DCI said via Twitter.

Acting on intelligence, Lang’ata Detectives who have been pursuing the case raided a house within Ruaka, where they found a Turkish national being subjected to torture by Mbunga and Mutua.
The third suspect, Mumbi who has been laying the trap for the victims was also found in the house.
Nzioki was arrested at the Ruaka Cooperative Bank ATM booth, in possession of the victims ATM cards and pins ready for transactions. He is also said to have obtained some cash through the victims MPesa.
It has since been established that the first suspect (Bernard Mbunga) was wanted after escaping through a perimeter wall in an earlier incident where an Indian national was robbed in like manner at Imara Daima, before recruiting the new team that has been nabbed today.

At the house, police recovered a Coop Bank PDQ machine and assorted mobile phones.
DCI indicated that the victim has been taken for medical attention and all suspects have been placed in custody pending arraignment.
