Reprieve to prisoners in Bomet Prison as Tenwek Hospital donates Covid-19 prevention facilities, isolation unit

Bomet prison fraternity have reasons to smile after Tenwek hospital boosted capacity to curb Covid-19 pandemic.

Tenwek Hospital through the community Health and Development in partnership with Samaritan’s Purse (SP) based Canada donated a 150 sitter tent to Bomet prison and an isolation unit.

The new facilities will create more space to the prison in fight against current Covid-19 pandemic as inmates will be able to adhere to ministry of health protocols in curbing Corona Virus.


Tenwek Hospital Chief Executive Officer Shem Tangus who presided over the function said the hospital will continue to support stakeholders to contain Covid-19.

Bomet prison boss welcomed the donation and lauded the hospital.
