DCI sleuths have arrested two suspected drug traffickers ferrying cannabis sativa worth millions.
DCI Transnational Organized Crime Unit detectives apprehended Samuel Kimani Macharia and Peter Mwangi Kuria on their way to Nairobi from Namanga.
“Two Suspected drug traffickers have been arrested by DCI Transnational Organized Crime Unit detectives & a motor vehicle Reg No. KCD 808N that was heading to Nairobi from Namanga ferrying sacks of Cannabis Sativa worth millions of shillings confiscated,” DCI said.
The two suspects Samuel Kimani Macharia and Peter Mwangi Kuria will be arraigned on 3rd September, 2020 to face charges of Trafficking in Narcotic drugs contrary to section 4(a) of the Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic Substances (control) Act No. 4 of 1994. pic.twitter.com/YT31TYSj0p

The officers also seized a motor vehicle (Reg No KCD 808N).
In a tweet, the DCI explained that the duo will be arraigned on Thursday where they will be charged with trafficking in Narcotic drugs contrary to section 4(a) of the Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic Substances (control) Act No. 4 of 1994.
“The two suspects Samuel Kimani Macharia and Peter Mwangi Kuria will be arraigned on 3rd September, 2020 to face charges of Trafficking in Narcotic drugs contrary to section 4(a) of the Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic Substances (control) Act No. 4 of 1994,” DCI explained further.
