On Friday, Health CAS Dr Rashid Aman announced 179 new cases of Covid-19, raising the country’s total to 34,884,
The cases were from a 4,178 sample size, bringing the cumulative tests to 467,677.
All were Kenyans except 17 who were foreigners.
Age wise, the youngest was a one -year-old infant while the oldest was 75 years old.
415 patients have in the last 24 hours recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries to 21,059.
161 of those discharged were from the home-based care programme, while 254 were receiving treatment from various health facilities.
Four more patients succumbed to the novel COVID-19 raising the number of fatalities to 589.
Nairobi was still in the lead with 66 cases, followed by Garissa with 21, Turkana 12, Nakuru 12, Busia 11, Taita Taveta 10, Kiambu 9, Kitui 6, Kisumu 5.
Kajiado, Machakos, Kericho, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia had three cases each.
Kisii, Mombasa, Laikipia and Nyeri each recorded two cases while Kilifi, Baringo and Uasin Gishu counties had one case each.
